In an effort to teach children the importance of habitat conservation, the Missouri Department of Conservation has created Wetlands for Kids Day, where families discover nature and the importance of wetlands with fun activities. The day is always packed with events including a chance to see real birds of prey, live reptile and amphibians and witness retriever demonstrations.
