Every day, thousands of helpless dogs and cats are killed in America’s shelters simply because they don’t have a safe place to call home. That has to stop and one organization is working hard to make that happen. Best Friends Animal Society runs the nation’s largest sanctuary for abused and homeless animals, and thanks to them and so many caring people, that number is down.
