Earth Day began in 1970 to promote environmental consciousness and has now spread across the world. The annual St. Louis Earth Day is the home of the award-winning Recycling-on-the-Go event greening program and celebrates environmental protection in Forest Park at the Muny Grounds. The 2016 Festival includes special features, like yoga classes all day for both adults and children, a rock climbing wall, a pet adoption area, new STEM activities presented by SCOPE .
